Excuse me , I don't know about Mac to view Chinese. It may need language kit or some shareware program to view.
1)Internet Explorer language pack (for IE 3.0)
There are language pack to view chinese character.
http://www.microsoft.com and get CJK fonts
2)WORD 97,Office 97 Far East support
Microsoft Office97(WORD 97) includes Far East fonts.
There is ValuePack in the CD-ROM. select GB or BIG-5 code and execute the software. And then select the fonts.
3)For Netscape
Get the fonts like 1) or 2)
Select preference/font/code set->GB or BIG 5 to suitable font.
Select display/code set->GB or Big 5
4)Other way
There are sharewares to view chinese characters.
I use NJWIN for that.
